More Tasty Noms by artico More Tasty Noms by artico
Just a simple pic of my very tasty dinner... >__>

I can't help it... if my food is pretty I like to take pictures of it! And I already missed the prettiest Eel plate I've ever made (Couldn't help myself and took a bite before I thought to grab the camera).

Anyway, I took lots of different shots, but this was my favorite because of the smelt eggs >_> which I have determined are my favorite shape/colored things ever! Like tiny little suns!

anyway, uhh.. let's see if I can remember what all is in here... Rice noodles, cod roe pasta sauce, nori, smelt eggs, shrimp, squid, fish balls (not pictured... hiding to the right), gyoza, soft boiled egg and Japanese mayonnaise and rooster sauce for garnish.

It's really good :D and actually very easy to make. The noodles only take 3 minutes to cook. You get the water boiling and add all your uncooked ingredients (excluding noodles) to the boiling water for about 5 minutes (or longer on the egg if you want it more done.. but a 7 minute egg is my favorite) then add the noodles for 3 minutes. Strain (in mesh since the noodles are tiny) and arrange your food pretty and top with [link] cod roe spaghetti sauce (or if you don't have that you can sort of make your own by mixing smelt eggs, if you have them... might be a little easier to find at least, with a little mayo and soy sauce)
In my case here I pulled the shrimp and squid aside and sauteed it with a little butter, soy sauce, and spicy stuff :D

...... wow.. that was a long reply for such a simple comment >_> sorry for the rant ^^;
